The comments I found most disturbing in the article were from her supporters expressing dismay and disapointment with Representative McKinney’s loss to Candidate Johnson. The one who said he would vote for Republican Candidate Davis rather than Johnson was especially strange to see, and indicates to me a cult of personality whose chief goal is the perpetuation of the cult figure rather than any particular political goals intended to benefit constituents. Such acrimony will make for a fascinating election in November. I suspect that Representative McKinney will not make any effort to communicate with, let alone offer support to, Candidate Johnson, unless she is pressed by members of her political party who have influence with her.
