Penn & Teller — Bullshit

Wednesday, April 19th, 2006

So this little Showtime show is rank pretty high up on my list of shows to watch. After 3 seasons, they finally found a topic I disagree with them on. The death penalty. While I would say it was a pretty fair and balanced show, their main obejection to the death penalty is that we are killing another human being. Well yea, that is kinda the point of it all.

I wrote this not necessarily to argue the death penalty, but more that I was happy I finally disagreed with them about something.

What can I say… It’s another stupid RIAA story

RIAA makes stupid statement, makes world plus dog guilty of infringement.

I wonder if there are any shared drives within the RIAA network…

Allergies…. Ugggg….

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

I believe I have found a new example to use when describing desperation… Chewing up two Benadryl between snorts and sneezes (they are not very tasty by the way… the Benadryl that is) in order to hasten the allergy relief. Once you have sneezed over twenty times in a row, in less than a minute, the appeal of the function begins to wane…

Just thought I’d share. ;-)

So does anyone know if they have worked out the shot free weekly allergy treatments yet?

I found this link. Maybe if I could find a way to insert a tanning bed in my nose… :)

Former Green Peace founder makes case for Nuke Power…

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Wow an environmental activist admits that nuclear power is a good thing. Impressive, it only took 30 years for the knee jerking to end. I wonder if the coal and oil power plants have contributed to global warming in the interim…

What’s the next security threat?

hackers are no longer writing mass worms to bring down the net. They are growing satisfied with much more selective attacks.

How To Argue Effectively

I am not certain this is intended as sarcasm, though that is how I read it. I do know many whose arsenal for debate and argument is limited to these tactics.

Cheney to get 1.9 million tax refund

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

In an effort to quell the inevitable tide of chest beating and wailing over Cheney's tax refund.

Interesting that he only makes about 200k per year from Halliburton which he earned in 1998 and has allowed Halliburton to pay him over time.

The biggest question I have is, whose head is going to roll for overpaying his taxes to the tune of 2 million dollars in one year? Not good planning. I would fire that accounting firm…

I wonder if Bush has a big underpayment penalty?

Xbmc Fox – Firefox Extension for your Xbox

Theories abound after 2 chunks land in state in a week

Sunday, April 16th, 2006

OK, let me get this one straight. This is somehow related to global warming… Ice falling from the sky…. sounds like a good opportunity for funding to me…

Falling ice perplexes scientists / Theories abound after 2 chunks land in state in a week

I remember seeing an interesting space pic (think it was from the shuttle) years ago where chunks of ice were entering out atmosphere, and there was speculation then that these were the origin of the water supply on earth. I cannot seem to find it… Does anyone else remember it?
