School prohibits students from blogging

Upon reading about the new “complain online and be suspended” policy, my first reaction is that this constitutes a violation of freedom of speech. Unfortunately, after a little thought, the school is a private organization, and freedom of speech does not include freedom from repercussion.

    Always use a psuedonym and never use anybody’s “real” name. Or you could always place a disclaimer on the blog stating something to the effect that it is for entertainment purposes only.

    I believe somewhere on the blog is posted the Cyber-Dissidents guide to blogging.

    Hey if it’s built to work in China, it has to be good enough for Catholic School…
