Fun poll
Ok, Greg was nice enough to send me this link.
I ended up 50% Kerry, 36% Bush. According to this poll, my views are pointing toward Kerry, but I just cannot get over that fact that I really don’t like him at all (It’s ok, if I’d been more aligned with Bush I would have felt the same way).
Be warned in advance, the questions are definitely designed to paint issues as black and white.
i.e. are you for or against parental notification of abortion for females under 18 years of age? Well of course I’m for parental notification (they are minors about to have a medical procedure performed), but there are also specific circumstances where I do not believe it is appropriate.
One other really annoying fact is that there are only two candidates listed. How would you know that your personal views make you more aligned with Green Party, or the Libertarians?

If you look at the data used in the poll, you will find that the ideals and strength of conviction don’t match what the two candidates say.
For instance, Bush said he will not select a supreme court judge based on a roe v wade litmus test, but the chart says he strongly favors appointing judges who will overturn. While Kerry has been proposing a government health care system, the chart says that he somewhat opposes it.

I too was surprised that there were only 2 candidates. I figured I would come out looking more like a Libertarian. My score was 77% Bush and 27% Kerry.
