I’m not too sure how I feel about this one.

I can sympathize with the Muslims who find this offensive, but a building burning riot in the street kind of offensive?

I can imagine that many religions around the word do not believe in the same level of sacrilegious freedom that many countries take for granted.

I wonder if this one will cause the same level of outrage among the Christians?

For all those who have data they would like to keep forever. We have all learned by now the burnt CD’s and DVD’s are only good for a few years at best, so your best bet is the hard disk juggling routine for backing up your precious data. Here is an article on how to use free software to keep your data backed up over a external drive (you could use a network shared drive just as easy).

Please bear in mind that you could have two simultaneous drive failures, the odds against are very high, but it has happened to me once. I will describe the loss of all my data as being disappointing but somewhat cathartic. :)

It seems that Windows XP can install device drivers that are not necessary for your specific system. Apparently these drivers suck up system resources while giving no benefit to the end user. Here is a quick and dirty article on how to remove these drivers from your Windows XP machine.

Aparently a librarian, together with her Director, refused to let the FBI seize library computers without a warrant. Note that the FBI wanted 30 computers to do with what they wanted.
