Ok, not really, but it makes for a more exciting headline doesn’t it?
Sweet, now if only I did not need a POTS telephone line to get DSL in the first place…

Just thought I’d post all of these together…
Xbox 360 file system de-coded
A little article regarding Microsofts misplaced trust in technology to prevent hacking.
Personally, if I owned an older Xbox and hacked it to be a media center… I wouldn’t think there would be a reason to upgrade… ;-)
Apparently you can just add external hard drive space to the Xbox 360 via the USB-2 ports. Even though Microsoft will not let you load MP3 files on the new Xbox you can put them on an external drive in windows, then just plug the drive into the Xbox. Bam… Instant MP3 storage/player.
This is an excellent time waster.
My first score was 12266. Which has me ranked at 7332nd… :p
This light display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frequency and doesn’t disturb the neighbors.
The story above is not verified, but was sent with the link by a friend of mine. So if you can resist the urge… please don’t send me comments saying that Carson Williams didn’t make the show, or that Carson doesn’t really live in Ohio… ;-)
This is amazingly addictive… The Kitty Cat Song
DMCA strikes again at the boundaries of reason. Ex Talking Heads front man and current radio show host, David Byrne, is issued a warning by the RIAA for playing more than 4 tracks by a single artist within a three hour period. How this could possibly be a part of the digital Millennium Copyright Act is amazing.
Apparently someone has posted an entire episode of Penn and Teller’s Showtime hit Bull$#it. It is one of my favorite episodes. Click here for Penn and Teller’s PETA Bull$#it episode…
Ok, I want one of these for Christmas…
If only the butterflies were bats…
Just to lighten things up….

How did I miss this little bit of reporting? I seem to have missed the media crying out that Louisiana has been choosing economic benefit over safety. Check the date of the post article.
But all finger pointing aside, I heard on the news today that Louisiana has brought engineers from Holland to look at their flood protection systems. I was very much surprised as I think this is a really good idea as the Dutch have amazingly well thought out flood control systems. I agree completely with the last paragraph of the link. ;-)
I’ve been thinking that New Orleans should not be rebuilt in it’s current location, but it’s been mostly a from a financial and human tragedy perspective. Now added to the list is the environmental perspective.
