State to state 1010 telephone rate comparison

Monday, April 10th, 2006

It has been a long time since I looked at long distance rates (Usually just use the cell phone) unfortunately the sound quality and delay on a dual cell call is just plain annoying…

This is the site I always used to select a 1010 company in the past 1010PhoneRates.com.

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

This article seems a little wishy washy on the issue. From my own observations, let me try to sum up. If you want to avoid being outsourced but stay in the IT industry, become a manager. If you feel that programming is your one true love then move to a different country, or learn how to get government grant money for making origami out of printouts of your code…

Sling media begins Beta Test of SlingPlayer for Windows Mobile

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

Ok, this is a great step forward, I'm going to load it on my phone ASAP, yadda yadda yadda.

Where is my Mac version of the player?!?! They announced it last year. Ok, I'm under full realization that they are going to make a lot more money off the Windows Mobile software, so I can see where the phone version should be a higher priority, but I still want all the Macky goodness of Sling…

Cockroaches might be smarter than originally suspected.

Discovery News Report shows social behavior by cockroaches.

So they will outlive us in global warming, nuclear winter, and (fill in your favorite doomsday scenario here) and they appear to have a working form of societal government. That about does it for us…

You gotta love the AT&T side of the story.

I am definitely not a fan of bandwidth for the sake of bandwidth, but 1.5 megabit down and 128k up is not sufficient for basic service. I smell someone covering their collective recti over taking the governments money for real broadband, then not providing it.

640k ought to be enough for anybody… Oops 1.5 megabit should be enough for anybody
