I am definitely not a fan of bandwidth for the sake of bandwidth, but 1.5 megabit down and 128k up is not sufficient for basic service. I smell someone covering their collective recti over taking the governments money for real broadband, then not providing it.

640k ought to be enough for anybody… Oops 1.5 megabit should be enough for anybody

Well there ya go. Another cost added option will be passed on to the internet consumer. I wonder if we can go to the FCC and ask where all the extra bandwidth we paid (via our taxes/telco tax breaks) for has been put?
